We will exhibit a booth on space security at the Aerospace Village of DEF CON Singapore, held in Singapore from April 28 to April 30, 2026 (local time). DEF CON is one of the world’s largest security conferences, bringing together cybersecurity experts from around the globe.
GMO Cybersecurity by Ierae previously exhibited at DEF CON 33 (held in the United States) in August 2025 and at DEF CON Bahrain in November of the same year as the only Asian company. At the inaugural DEF CON Singapore, we will continue to showcase Japan’s space security initiatives and expand engagement with security communities across Southeast Asia and beyond.
Singapore Accelerates Investment and Institutional Development in the Space Sector as a National Strategy
In recent years, Singapore has rapidly expanded investment and institutional development in the space industry while also strengthening its international presence in the cybersecurity domain.
On April 1, 2026, the Singapore government established the National Space Agency of Singapore (NSAS), the national space agency responsible for leading the country’s space policy, industry development, and international collaboration. The launch of NSAS marks a major milestone in Singapore’s full-scale advancement of space as a national strategic priority.
Singapore is also known as one of Asia’s leading cybersecurity nations, centered around the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore (CSA). Given this background, we view Singapore as a key hub for disseminating information on the intersection of space and cybersecurity.
Purpose of Exhibiting at “DEF CON Singapore”
Our participation in DEF CON Singapore aims to showcase our expertise in cybersecurity for the space domain and to build connections with the space and cybersecurity communities in Singapore and Southeast Asia. The year 2026 also marks the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Japan and Singapore, making it especially meaningful for us as a Japanese company to share the latest technologies and knowledge with local communities.
Future Outlook
Our strength lies in practical cybersecurity testing for the space sector conducted by white-hat hackers—an area that is expected to attract significant interest within Singapore’s growing space industry. GMO Cybersecurity by Ierae will continue to highlight the importance of space cybersecurity to the international community and contribute to the realization of safe and sustainable space utilization through deeper collaboration with countries across Southeast Asia and beyond.
